Cost Accountant
Summary:
Experienced Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment with the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with all levels of employees, be able to take and follow directions from management but also work independently to quickly and accurately provide production cost information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze records related to monthly cost of sales and inventory reporting.
- Plans, study and collects data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor and overhead.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Develop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning.
- Analyze direct and indirect costs to determine proper allocation for recording cost elements; develop and improve methods for calculating and controlling costs; compile cost data for use in developing capital and other proposals.
- Maintain records of approved capital projects including copies of all invoices for fixed assets. Enter new capital projects in the computer system. Record all approved asset disposals. Reconcile fixed asset accounts to fixed asset system subsidiary records each month. Review depreciation calculations. Prepare depreciation estimates by G/L account for the annual budget.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
- Gather information needed from various departments and set up all new part numbers in the computer system. Review bills of materials and routings for accuracy and enter in the system. Calculate annual standard labor and overhead rates for each manufacturing process by work center.
- Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
- Develops and documents operational procedures for supported systems to include implementation processes, troubleshooting and support procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Experience with ERP software required

Network Administrator
Job Overview:
Experienced Network Administrator in a manufacturing environment with the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with end-users, be able to take and follow directions from management but also work independently to quickly and accurately solve network and computer related problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain servers, routers, switches, cabling and other related equipment.
- Perform / oversee server and computer software installation, upgrade and configuration.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties during business hours and on an on-call basis.
- Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability and performance.
- Plan, document and implement network security including building firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
- Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
- Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
- Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server
- Maintain Intranet
- Develops and documents operational procedures for supported systems to include implementation processes, troubleshooting and support procedures.
- Administer the following: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a network administrator in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain servers, networks, computers and related hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer and network malfunctions and operational problems.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the system being supported.
- Experience with installing, configuring, maintaining and upgrading the following:
Internet Information Server, Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2003 and 2007, SQL Server 2000, and Crystal Enterprise
- Familiarity with ITIL Standards
Education/Certifications:
- Associates Degree in Computer Information Technology or equivalent in education and experience.
- MCSE Certification Preferred
